Exquisite highland tea from one of Sri Lanka’s most famous tea-growing regions: Basilur Tea Leaf of Ceylon ‘Nuwara Eliya’ is a classic loose-leaf black tea from the renowned highland region of Nuwara Eliya in Sri Lanka. Grown at an altitude of around 1,800 metres above sea level, this Ceylon tea is characterised by its harmonious flavour and distinctive aroma. Nuwara Eliya is one of Sri Lanka’s best-known tea-growing regions and enjoys a special reputation amongst tea lovers. Teas from this high-altitude region are prized for their delicate character and are regarded as outstanding examples of the time-honoured Ceylon tea culture.
When brewed on its own, its original character comes through particularly well. Those who prefer a fruity note can also enjoy the tea with a slice of lemon or orange.
